With the retirement of Guildmaster Meade from the Administration of the Guild, Evelyn Minver has risen to take his place. Ms Minver, world reknown for her indispencable Postal Network, was by far the most popular candidate, with pamphlets circultated around the Union detailing how she plans to increase the wealth of the Union and encourage new and forward thinking ideas and initiatives. There is also a subtle undercurrent that she will remove corruption.

Ms Minver also had support from a number of important figures in the Union, notablr Marshall Craddock who spent a lot of time out in the Union promoting Ms Minver, and was responsibly for securing the support of much of the undecided population.

The widly known preacher of the Church of the Founders Arabella Crimson, has returned to Union space after extended missionary work in the other colonies. Not wanting to see a valuble resource go unused Hawthorn, High Preist, has assigned her a particually difficult task as Prison Chapalin of the New Union Prison. Arabella will be responsible for trying to convert and reform the particually horrible inmates.

Many people are glad to see Hawthorne take his job as high preist seriously, and has dispelled the doubts he was using the position as a stepping stone to the closed council. Hawthorne has been working on converting the new GPC back to proper Union ideologies. He points out many of the arguments put forward by the GPR are also found in the example put forward by the Founders, that of Working together.

He then moves on to point out the flaws in the GPR, they believe that magic is none existent, at which point he explodes into brilliant blinding light, dazzling the crowd that has gathered to hear him speak. As the light begins to lessen, Hawthorne brings the sermon to a close, his point proven.

With his replacment found, Franklyn Meade has retired to his luxary Private fragment, to enjoy his ritirment from public life in peace.

Eat your beans Alfy, or Alice will come and eat all your knuckles

Alice is old folklore of a witch that eats children, given new life by repeated sightings of a monstrous figure around the schools and nurseries of the Union.

The cowled man's form seems to shift and twist like theres no bones beneath the flab, sometimes stretched tall, sometimes curled into a crippled haglike monster. Most of the sightings are colored with the tall tales of children, but parents are encouraged to keep a closer eye on their young until the menace can be put down.

A new mist academy has been set up in the Union, it is responsible for the training of Mist Mages. Most notably Anja Sedlak has been responsible for a series of very informative lectures, which are pushing the lecture halls to full capacity.
