Have you heard the Acting Chancellor of the college killed his predecessor? I knew the college was cut throat, but I think that’s taking things a bit too far.
It appears the Marshall has been investigating the death of the previous chancellor. While there has been no official word from the office of Marshalls, the depth and length of the investigation means most people are classifying the death as suspicious. Naturally people are saying the acting Chancellor was the one who done it, cause you know he’s got the most to gain.

A Proposal For Election to the Closed Council
Chancellor Bastian Velen of the College of Horizons wishes to make known his application to the Closed Council of the Union. Using his scientific and administrative knowledge, he promised to help guide the Union towards a modern, safe and effective future.
Amendment 1: Proposed by Madison Bourne
Though Clan Leader Madison Bourne of the New Dawn Party respects the Chancellor's scientific knowledge and integrity, he proposes that the administration of the Union is inherently flawed and invites corruption. He proposes that the common person needs someone representing them upon the Closed Council, and volunteers himself for that position. If elected, he promises to cut out corruption and waste from the Union.
Oh dear, those crackpots at the storm academy are at it again. It looks like a new generation of badly trained, insane and trigger happy storm mages are coming of age.
The Students at Hawthorne’s storm academy have been going through some environmental training. When the party went off to NeverDark it was noted Hawthorne took a number of his student with him. No one’s sure exactly what happened, but they all came back a lot more scruffy than when they left.
Here have you seen all them building materials going over to Department S, and that builder Sarenn, he’s been building something secret for them I’m sure. Harry Stormforge- Local Man.
There has been much coming and going to department S, it appears Sarenn has started a number of building projects for them. While one seems to be a new barracks with excellent facilities, another building seems to be extremely large, and no one is really sure what its is going to be. Rumours are that it is some new type of super weapon.
Arise men and women of the Union, for the time has come. The common man will be heard, and he shall shake the very foundations of the land.
-Extract from a pamphlet printed with the new presses.
There has been printing in the Union for a long time, and although it has been acceptable for most small scale jobs, the output of these presses has not been enough for mass publication of any sort of document.
It appears that Madison Bourne has acquired advanced printing presses from the fallen. These presses will be able to print documents in large numbers. It has been suggested that the closed council is none to happy about this development, that the circulation of information need to be carefully controlled , and that newly formed sensationalist newssheets are only going to spread panic and discord amongst the Union.
Does Viet Vujagig, proprietor of the Union's greatest and most comprehensive library, know something that we don't? Over the past season he has greatly secured his library, and has been seen buying large stocks of preserved food. It's certainly increased curiosity about the Library's contents among the Union's citizenry.
A new body is being set up in the Union. It is responsible for printing Political manifestos, advertisements and any other related material considered worthy of any and every man or women, of any species, who is running for public office, including the Open and Closed Councils.
It also want to make the news readily available to all those who wish to read it, without bias or censorship. The organization the Union Printing Co-ordination, will act independently of any of the existing arms of the Union. The initiative is being spearheaded by Madison Bourne.
Here I met this guy in one of the guildhalls, he gave me some proper good stuff, really gets you going. You should try it.
There seems to be an influx of drugs into the Archipelago. Various different types have different affects. The Union officials are as yet undecided on how to deal with the situation, whether they decide to control its import, and the revenue generated, or outlaw them all together as harmful to the archipelago as a whole is yet to be seen.
General Deepcut must build additional Pylons
Djared is making things explode.
Sarin the Seeker has been abducting members of the College of Horizons, changing them into Beastmen, and forcing them to work for the Fallen.
