Union News Turn 10

A notice, found pinned up all over the Union, from the Office of Marshalls.

Attention all Union citizens! A mass breakout from a high security Union prison has left many criminals roaming free. Rumour says that while some criminals, among them the former High Priestess Arabella Crimson, were seen boarding a vessel said to belong to sky pirates, a few criminals are still at large within the Union. These people may be armed and dangerous! If you see something suspicious, please do not approach the person concerned but report the incident to your local Marshall.

Also pinned up, near to these notices, are various tracts and speeches denouncing the current High Priest, Tutor Hawthorne, and praising the virtues of Justinian.

A series of strange thefts have been going on all across the Union. The items stolen seem to have little worth, such as foodstuffs, ale, board games, banners and other decorations. However the disappearances do seem to be somewhat strange; what is the thief trying to accomplish?

The Leviathan has been seen in the skies, and seems to have regained full operation. This is a giant among ships, much bigger than the general warships produced by the factories. Capable of transporting whole armies, in addition to its onboard weaponry, it is truly a force to be reckoned with.

Captain Oleg Slavo has become a crusader against corruption within the Guild. He has been questioning a great majority of the officials within the Guild and going through accounts, and is expected to soon present a report to Guildmistress Minver, detailing the extent of corruption within the Union.

Meanwhile, Minver herself has been hard at work to rid the Union of corruption. Drake Malen, a trader of note closely involved with the Guild, was exposed to be highly corrupt and embezzling Guild funds and had all of his contracts and privileges revoked. It seems that she is on something of a mission to clear any and all corruption.

A kitten sanctuary appears to have been founded in an abandoned warehouse. The owner, reported to be a monstrous shape-shifting creature which occasionally is seen to take human form, has filled the building with stray cats and appears twice daily to feed them and retrieve ones which attempt to leave. Persons who have entered the building report that the cats are well cared for and seem happy in their new surroundings, although perhaps understandably they are nervous of the kind-hearted but grotesque form which cares for them.

The owner wishes to stress that this is a KITTEN sanctuary. KITTENS and KITTIES are not the same. Anyone found leaving KITTIES at the KITTEN sanctuary will FACE THE CONSEQUENCES. This is to ensure the safety of all KITTENS in the sanctuary and prevent grave and potentially fatal accidents.

The Dixie clan have provided a cure to the painful 'roots' affliction that many picked up during the fallen crusade. The concoction, developed by Matthias Dixie, has been distributed among the affected soldiers who are on their way to a swift recovery.
