…the party limps along in the dark and wet, seeking their prize.
Segue was only here briefly, but thinks he knows where the entrance is. They head deeper, into sub basements, then channels below that, turn a corner and face featureless rock.
Its not here.
Above them is the sound of hammering. Their death is minutes away.
“Well this was a stupid idea! Why did you tell them we were coming Valk?”
“No less stupid than you blowing our cover Sarr! That was almost as smart as you pushing Tutor into the guards”
“At least he was fighting Valk, from what I saw you just watched Segue picking the lock”
“You try working a lock with a seive for an arm. Besides, I had to keep an eye on him. Thats right Segue, everything you've done stinks of 'trap'. You've been useless from the moment we got here and now you've led us into a dead end!”
“What? You think this cock up is what I'd call a trap? Why don't you-”
Catequil hollars “Friends, stop! Don't you see you're being tricked? This tower… did something to the Ties that Bind. I think its broken. I think its making us fight.”
Noticing was enough to end the spell. An embarrassed silence fell over the group, the thump of boots could be heard far above.
“Well, whatever the case,” says Anja “I've found the entrance.” and punches a random point on the wall, which folds back to reveal a rough hewn cave beyond.
