Shortly before the Enigmatic Dixie's Death, there were widespread reports of his mood becoming more and more erratic. Some say that by the end he was utterly insane. He wore his hat lower, never without dark glasses, stone emotionless or hysterical, prone to bouts of violence.

In hindsight, the clan should have seen it coming. They say he poisoned his own family, then tried to burn the house down. If it wasn't for the unexpected aid of Comrade Maxim and Comrade Ivan, his wife and child would be dead along with him.

Ella May is expected to comment on her cousin's mental health at the next temple session.

Initially seemingly written for publication within the Union's College of Horizons, a small pamphlet has circulated around Taverns across many fragments describing Sarr's trip to what is referred to as the “Overstorm”. The trip seems to have been carried out aboard a fragment specially created for the purpose by Sarenn and Cthoth. Apparently Flux accompanied him on the expedition in which he saw what was above the storms - a vast empty blackness punctured by tiny dots of light all around. The article discusses whether or not Sarr actually truly went there since reports are that his companion never saw him travel any further. There is also some speculation on whether perhaps what he saw was a response to his storm magic asking the question “What is above the storm” and whether he really did receive the answer “we are” from an unknown source.

Flux is also credited as having saved Sarr's life on the return trip which was reported to be a freefall through the storms until Flux's was able to fly them to a soft landing atop a marquee.

Sarr is reported to be eager to travel back up to the overstorm to continue his studies.

News is spreading like wildfire as rumour and hearsay often does, that an attemp has been made on Alric Earthbonre's life. Events are unclear, but it appears that someone tried to sneak into Alric's room in the CSF Humanity, where he spends almost all of his time. Unfortunatly for them, the Humanities security systems proved too advanced, and they were picked up, and taken to Alric. The fate of the would be assasin is unclear, however it seems that the would be assasin was Madame Imogene of the Circus.

As construction nears completion of the temple fragments new college, a faculty has begun to be gather. Among them are Karbaldi from the Crystal Collective, Zwerginn from the union, Ex-Copper workers from the City, and architects from the Glorious People's Republic. One noteworthy lecturer will be the enigmatic Hal Brokentooth, teaching advanced courses in 'arcane and ursine security'; two very hot topics.

Only some necessary bookwork is keeping the college from opening its doors, and turning the reclusive temple fragment into a hive of activity and trade. Concerns about temple security have yet to be addressed.

Similar to the Racing fragments, the college promises to be a versatile tool to assist in training, and nearly any construction project

The Dragon Name has had a colony wide banning from every bar. This was as a respone to an unfortunate icident which ended up with a bar in the confederacy being turned into a pile of ash.

There have been talks about setting up an inter-colonial barkeepers guild, so the names and descriptions of troublesome individuals can be exchanged.

The same mysterious monstrous individual who created a kitten sanctuary six months ago has been spotted putting up “Keep Away” signs on a deserted fragment on the outskirts of the Union. It would appear that this fragment is operating as a Kittie Sanctuary, on which many Kitties are being looked after and fed. As a result of this excellent care, the Kitties are reproducing at record levels and the sudden growth of life is causing the fragment to sink into the Mists. Whether this is a good thing or not remains to be seen. Certainly someone has their heart in the right place, but whether Kitties are the most suitable recipients for charity is questionable.

Disaster struck the city once more when a monumental miscalculation caused Neverdark and the City to collide.

Hundreds of surface dwellers were killed, and countless more injured when the collosal fragment began accelerating towards the surface. People at first assumed the descent was routine, only beginning to flee their homes when it was too late.

Neverdark began from a stable orbit, before tumbling out of control and skidding into the surface. Like some huge apocalyptic plough, the fragment tore a groove through farmland, fields and settlements.

Its path of destruction complete, it would have tumbled away into the mists if not for the quick thinking of the Gyroscape worker teams, who used the structure to 'catch' the falling city. Now both hang precariously attached, with both spiraling downwards and in danger of plummeting into the mists.

Among those badly injured were the Nihil clan and the Tillermen, Werner D Cagliostro was in charge of the City of Lights when the accident occurred, and was seen plummeting from the crumbling fragment, using his face to fend off approaching boulders. Alive and in the care of Intaglio Deep he has supposedly broken exactly half the bones in his body. He will never eat toast again.

• To hell with the circus. Roderick Alonzo is turning Neverdark into a far better attraction than those hasbeens could ever muster.
