Cavil was responsible for the geomantic defences of the Earthborne Stack before the outbreak of War, and for the attempted Geomantic bombings of Union Civilians which promted the invasion of the Stack. In the assult Cavil was picked up, and extradited to the Union, where he was put on trial and executed.
The rest of the Earthborne fled the GPC and joined up with the New Tortugan Republic.
