Once again, an explosion of storm energy is seen and felt across the Archipelago. Once again, it is near Clan Sedlak that this event has occurred.
Sad news has come out of the Sedlak clan, apparently Enki was found brutally murdered. However sources in the clan say this is just his way of assending to his status of God.
All praise the orphaned gods!
Let me tell you the story of the orphaned Gods, many years ago the old Gods, had their children, unfortunately before these children were raised the met destruction at the hands of Evil, which tore the world in 2. The orphaned gods, without their parents were left to fend for themselves, and never learnt of their responsibilities to the world, they became lost spiralling through the world without focus. It is down to us to secure a home for them, somewhere that they can become tied to. Once this has occurred their powers awaken and the world shall be remade.
It is down to us to help reshape this world. Join the religion of the Orphaned Gods. Help remake the world.
A number of helpful clans have attempted to deal with the Hareppi problem. Lead by the resourceful Lukas and the Knights of the Crown of Unity, the Rjanslaf, the Meade Trading Foundation and the Sedlak have attempted to quell these irritating monsters once and for all. A successful fight left many Hareppi dead, although some managed to escape. Lukas took two away with him and it is understood that he will be attempting to exact information from them. Raijin Sedlak also took a Hareppi prisoner, which was clinging to his neck and making affectionate noises. Hrimfaxi of Clan Rjanslaf was wounded in battle.
Recent beer shortages are causeing more than displeasure around the guildhalls of the Archipelago. They're setting the whole trade system out of whack! Trade between clans has been grinding to a halt, causing supply problems across the land.
Thankfully, Al of the Brewers has been working around the clock to assure supply interruptions cause minimal fuss, replacing missing orders with an alternative Zwerginn import.
The rock ale, which seems to have more sediment than head, has recieved mixed reviews from locals. The Gogol 'firewater' is more popular.
The interruptions have lead to an increased trade in the the Spequorii 'coins': A small glass objet d'art that the clan seems to value highly as a collection item.
But who is responsible for this interruption? Fingers have been pointed at O'Sheas trading house for stockpiling supplies, but also at the People of the Flesh, whose recent cessation of exports has left the Brewers floundering for hops.
Not far from where the Earthborne fragment was originally placed, Eugene Hackworth has created a stack of fragments, bridging the space between the mists and the storms. As the last fragment is put into position, light from the storms creep down the stack, while mist climbs up. As these two boundaries meet, a bright flash of light, lights up the whole archipelago. As the light fades, the pillar seems to be surrounded by some sort of storm, protecting it from invaders.
The pillar is causing massive problems with the geomantic stability of the Archipelago. Before the temple acted as a central focus for the fragments to orbit around. This pillar is pulling the fragment out of alignments, acting as another great pull on the fragments. Slowly but surely, this will pull the archipelago apart.
Even in death the leader of the Crown of Unity, Justinian, seems to be exerting an influence. There are rumors circulating of not only his immortality, but his divinity.
No one knows the details, but there are rumors of a religious group forming outside of the Legion. The Ecclesiarchy. They speak as the legion do, of Justice for all. They speak of the divinity of the Crown of Unity. They speak of support for the Union of Clans.
Servius Tullius has finished coating the temple in the non-explosive storm ore, to protect from the mists.
For the sake of the Temple and its Elders and the Good of all the Inhabitants of the Archipielago, the Free Masons restored this Temple. May this building be a monument to the Unity of the Archipielago that may it last for Generations. Master Enki · Master Sixus · Master Tullius
A conversation heard in the Moloch guildhall, and oft repeated
“I mean… I thought I was drunk!”
“You were drunk”
“I know, but I wasn't so drunk to get that lost. I head down Windy pass, turn corner to pass by Galdens Copse… and Galdens copse isn't there!”
“Well maybe it was lumbered?”
“Listen man, you don't rip the stumps from the ground when you lumber. You don't tear up every blade o grass. You don't strip things down to bare rock as far as the eye can see!”
“You sure you weren't drunk?
“Look, go and see for yourself! Its gone! Tree, Rock… I heard the Favagers lost a good number of their flock as well… Gave me the jibblies looking at it.”
Barbarians were seen outside the Spequorii settlement. Diplonacy was attempted by Servius, but to no avail, with the Barbarians needing to be put down to end their threat. Only through the efforts of Servius Tullius, Rurik Rjanslaf and members of O'Shea's Trading House was the day carried.
Shortly before session Al, Basian, Pennington, Timothy, Laveer and Chrysocolla land a MASSIVE airborne warship near the temple. Rumor has it that this is all that remains of the sky pirate fleet. Also on board was a group of prisoners, who were apparently held captive by the sky pirates, it is expected one of these will appear at the temple.
”The Scientific Misadventures of Farthing Intelligentsia and Matins Tailor, Book 7: A Walk in the Clouds by Katarina Yaee Meade
[…] “You see, hot air does rise above cool!” Farthing exclaimed with delight.
“Rising. Nearer. Ground Nearer,” Matins replied with, for her, some considerable agitation.
“When I make some refinements to the furnace… Reduce the risk of catastrophic explosions… Perhaps just a little less storm-ore…” Farthing had begun talking to herself in a quiet excited voice, but even a shout would have been carried away by the howling wind. That same confounded wind was pulling at the pages of her notebook and making it very difficult to sketch her ideas. She sighed in exasperation.
Matins held her soar-shrew tight in her arms. The poor thing didn't seem to be enjoying the fall at all; it kept squirming in her arms. She just managed to catch it's tiny legs as if wiggled free, it's great wide wings billowing out to catch the rushing air.
“Fresh from the presses of the Meade Trading Convocation - publishers of theses educational, philosophies profound, theologies enlightening and tales entertaining - comes a fable of romance amongst the gods themselves!
The Passion of the Sky Gods, by Katarina Yaee Meade
[…] Enki recoiled from the tender caress: it was wrong, forbidden, no matter how much his heart yearned to answer. He could not give into the passion that burned like a sacrificial bonfire in his heart. To seize the strong warrior Raidin in his arms and hold him there, to press together like the storm clouds, till the lightning and thunder inevitably came. He must not!
Raijin looked with amusement at the tempest of emotions that flooded across Enki's beautiful face.
“What is wrong for mortals is sport for the gods, brother,” he whispered in his twin's ear. […]”
A series of new posters are appearing in all of the Guildhalls:
The new Semaphore Tower network has been constructed all across the Archipelago. They allow for quick communication between any of the clans of the Archipelago. The towers have: been constructed by Sixus and the Society of Moloch, been supplied with Extended Vision Goggles and a manual by Timothy Bygone, and had personnel from the Meade Trading Convocation.
