Message from Orellius

As I am sure you are all aware the civil unrest which recently broke out around the Orrery brought us to the edge of all out conflict. I am willing to believe that this was toxic result of misinformation, malign forces and misunderstanding. The fight destroyed much and has served only to set back the course of posthumanity.

The Unsullied must take some blame for this; we have failed in our duty to allow the Fallen to continue their quest for posthumanity uninterrupted. It is for this reason that I will ask the Unsullied to take no further action against those who were drawn into this conflict if all sides are willing to come together in an effort for peace. I will be convincing the Unsullied to relinquish their role of “leadership” and devolve power to a new council composed of a member of the Unsullied, Beastmen and Machinists, its decisions will be by majority. I will also oversee fallen institutions such as the militia passed to control of this council. All of this will be overseen by observers from the Union and Confederacy (to be decided) to ensure complete impartiality. I would ask you each to consider whether you wish to sit on this council and to make your case at the next temple meeting to all concerned.

I hope this change will allow us to come together and resolve our differences peacefully. There may still be grievances and I will do my best to mediate between all parties. We should be aware however that further strife will only serve to draw in outside parties who wish to use us as proxies for their own conflicts.

If we strive for posthumanity we must strive together or forever remain the fallen.

Orellius Guar, Unsullied

Psychomancer's Forge

The Traitor to the Fallen and wanted criminal Psychomancer has been brought to justice following the Valiant efforts of Sarr, Hawthorne, Bezeth, Catequil and Anja.

Selected Stories of the past few months

“In the interests of the entire Fallen the Unsullied must concede that changes have to be implemented. The past few months have made it clear that dissatisfaction exists with our work and perhaps we have become too insular in our administering of the Fallen’s affairs. It is for this reason that I find myself in agreement with the changes put forward by Orellius Guar and the Peace council. The Unsullied should return to their traditional roles of diplomacy and administration and when it comes to matters of internal or external security we should play the roles of mediators as opposed to directors.”

– An Unsullied Commentator

“We are pleased to see the Unsullied finally making concessions and perhaps now that they have descended from their ivory tower we can begin to talk to them. Their handling of fallen affairs has been lacking of late…are they really so surprised we were forced to make ourselves heard and felt. With the formation of this new council and the diminishing of the Unsullied’s influence the fallen must now strive to return to our true calling; the pursuit of posthumanity.”

– A Beastman Representative

“Orellius Guar's responsibilities appear to be too much for the poor man, and he has had to give in to foreign powers to help settle things. It is clear that he is not the man fit for the job of deciding the fate of the Fallen. Rather than having to suffer under his leadership, I am hereby resigning from my rank and position within the Militia, lest he would have us butcher our own for the sake of foreign powers.”

- An Unsullied Commander

“I am pleased to see the lessening of the Union and Confederacy presence on our fragment. We should be maintaining neutrality within the broken world so that we can pursue our research in peace. We must however acknowledge both the Union and Confederacy’s role in helping establishing this new peace and thank them for it. I hope in future we can work with them to obtain the best materials and best minds to further our quest without being dragged into battles between their ideologies.”

– A Pamphlet distributed amongst the Fallen

“Scandal within the Beastmen! - Who would of thought it: Kai Morlock consorting with spirits. Rumors are spreading that Mr Morlock was consorting in a very physical way with a couple of powerful spirits. Supposedly this ménage a trois resulted in a lovers tiff between the two spirits who, in the throes of unnatural passions, killed Mr Morlock. I am pleased to see that despite the chaos that has occurred over the past few months such a prominent Beastman found the time to entertain himself so deliciously.”

Revolt of the Unsullied

The Unsullied, formerly in favour of the unification of the Fallen to from a new government now find themselves vehemently rejecting the Peace Council's new proposals. Several important clans involved in the defense of the Orrerry have made it clear that they do not wish to implement the new council. Tensions run high among the Fallen, with the two sides of last season's bloody conflict now having switched their stances.

Fallen Hospitaliers Sabotaged!

Life happens on the surface. In all organisms, all matter, the centre of a mass is dull, uninteresting, lifeless. It is where one mass, be it biological, chemical or material, meets others. The skin is our interface with the world. Understanding it, controlling it, is the key to posthumanity

The Kismet clan are a small, pious community, known for their work as healers and 'skinshifters'. Many a burn victim has been saved by the clan's miraculous skills with flesh, while the richer communities hold their more cosmetic treatments in high regard.

The Kismet are outraged by a recent raid on their holdings. Many important tomes and expensive research samples have been stolen by an unknown thief. The financial loss is bad enough, but this theft could ruin the clan's trade depending on the thief's motivation.

There are currently no real leads, and the clan are demanding an investigation from their leaders.

Troop Withdrawal

With the civil war calming down, and the establishment of a new coalition government, the Union troops are being withdrawn from the fragment.
